Beginning in 2006 HOSEF expanded its free and open source education outreach to include Senior Citizens. HOSEF volunteers taught this class, along with our free Saturday workshops, at the McKinley Community School for Adults, from 2004 to 2007

In September of 2007, with the intent of catalyzing telecommuting and providing economic development through broadband, HOSEF installed computers and free wifi at Nanakuli Beach Park's recreation center.
